Twin Falls
(May 14) Was hiking in Taylor Mill and went to these falls. Cleared some brush out to get them both in the shot. Kind of cool seeing them both together like that even though the sun was hitting all the debris above the larger falls. Could be a better shot. Was both extremes of lighting on the scene.Kentuckycreekfallfallshdrhighland cemeterypanoramapanoramicstreamtaylor milltwin fallswaterwaterfall
UC Building
(May 7) A building around the corner from UC's Hospital and Medical Center. Very cool looking building. Same with the one in the background on the left side of the frame. Over did the HDR a bit for fun and messing around with it a tad. Kind of made it as if it was an architect's rendering. Bleacher View
(May 3) Reds game against the Cubs. Reds won in 10 innings. I have never even been to the Kroger Bleachers in GABP but got a ticket there today and decided to check out the view instead of sitting elsewhere. I actually liked it. Top row was in the shade and the wind was blowing to keep me cool on an historic high temp today.

Buttermilk Creek Falls
(Apr 30) Was out in Georgetown, Ohio and stopped by here for quite the adventure. Panoramic doesn't do it justice. The falls are quite large. People have it listed at 50' but my guess is more than that. This would be quite the angle right after a nice hard rain. Problem is you would never get to this location without falling down to here and you would never get out with the steep hillside around you being soaked as well. Also from teis spot it is over 50' up the face of the falls, and more for the sides. And behind me is an 8' roughly dropoff which just goes to another and another which I could see. GPS lost me once down in the hole but it thinks I went way more like just shy of 70' for the falls and another 20ish for the whole slope.Ohiobuttermilk creek fallscreekfallsgeorgetownhdrpanoramapanoramicstreamwaterwaterfall

Falls, Falls & Falls
(Apr 28) 3 sets of falls near Milford, Ohio. You can see the 2 ledges for teh furthest one up stream. I had photographed the upper 2 sets and was at this one as it started to really pour. Rained crazy hard and was storming while I was wading in the creek, watching the water level rise in front of me. Cool thing was able to take crazy long exposure here. 15, 8 and 30 second exposures make up this hdr panoramic. Took some that much shorter but was messing around with the crazy long exposure while it was storming and able to.Ohiocreekhdrmilfordpanoramapanoramicrainrainingsandspurstormstormingstreamwaterwaterfall
Edgewood's Wonder
(Apr 27) This was my favorite shot of the day. A falls that has a 1' drop followed by the larger 4' drop. The greenery and the bridge made the image for me. Visited 3 falls, all which had their own thing. Learning and experimenting and exploring. Enjoying it. Trying different things, some that work adn some that horribly fail.Kentuckycreekedgewoodedgewood roadhdrpanoramapanoramicstreamwaterwaterfall
8 Mile Upper Falls
(Apr 25) I found out that there are a set of falls on 8 Mile Creek on the east side of town. Headed to check them out and the ravine they are in since the water was low. They are quite beautiful when the water is running. This is the upper of the 2. About 6-7' tall and the pool is quite deep. I was in waist deep water to get this shot with the hole in front of me going down another 10' maybe? Taking it In
(Apr 18) I liked the clouds that were over Kentucky but were not over downtown Cincinnati so I headed to the overlook to check them out. Was not that great and slightly smoggy but was pleased with the result I got. This was actually the first day that I only took one panoramic on the day with no other choices. There were lots of people out and about and bothering me with too many questions so I took one pano and got lost.CincinnatiCincinnati parkDaytonEden ParkKentuckyOhioOhio Riverhdrmanoverlookpanoramapanoramicparkpersonriverwater

Dog Slaughter Falls
(Apr 6) I was at Cumberland Falls SP and decided to hike to Dog Slaughter Falls which is nearbye and on the north side of the park. You can do a 3.5 mile each way hike from Cumberland Falls to Dog Slaughter, but I went a different way. I went down Forrest Road 198 or something and hit the 2nd of the two trails I found there. It makes it ony 1 miles each way (so it says) but GPSing the trail it was actually longer than that. I took my whole pack with me and used my waders to cross the creek and to stand in some cool spots to take some photographs. The water was super cold and it was only in the low 40's there as well. Non-waders would of been dreadful.
When you approach the falls you come from above them on the right side as you are looking at this panoramic. A trail eventually goes down and comes back to them. You can even get behind the falls which was interesting. Most Amazing Place
(Apr 4) Juniper springs is the most amazing place I have kayaked so far. The beauty and isolation of the run is what makes it so great. Far from any city or road you wind and twist your way on the quick river lost in a wilderness as vast as Ocala National Forest's 607 square miles. It is the first National Forest east of the Mississippi and one of Florida's last remaining traces of forested land. (Mar 30) Not the greatest as the waterfall seems to disapear but it was not a terribly strong one. This woud be great to take photos at or near sunset or the after noon instead of the morning though. Saint Luke East
(Mar 28) I refuse to call it Saint E. It is Saint Luke FOREVER! Stopped by there today on this crazy sunny day. People were staring at me as I took some photos of the building and flowers. I use to volunteer here when I was a wee middle schooler. I transported patients to and from the radiology department. Pushing them around in their beds or wheelchairs. Was a humbling experience volunteering there at such a young age.

Tarp Foundation
(Mar 27) Crittenden, Kentucky post the tornadoes. I was working here doing a lot survey on this piece of property. Trying to find and re-establish these peoples property corners. They obviously lost everything but theis foundation. Very tragic.
I took this panoramic as a wide angle, as wide as I could get to show the extent of the damage. The house is long gone and the forest of trees is desamated. The next door neighbors house, which is behind this view (which is the view of my instrument for surveying) , you can not figure out where it even stood. It must of a been a trailer that got completely lifted and torn apart. No Entry
(Mar 26) The old homes in Tower Park in Fort Thomas always catch my eyes. It is amazing that they are not able to sell them. And also too bad that they have to sell them as a deal package. I would love to buy one of those homes near the river, get the woods cleared like it use to be similar to Riverside Parkway and redo the home. They are awesome looking homes with a lot of unique character.
This is an HDR version of the house that is on the bend along the road that goes around the ball fields and Mess Hall.
