The sun really brought a nice orange on all the buildings. An HDR image as well. Took this as a second location to the photography that I ended up using for my a Pano a Day for this particular day.
A view from floor seats at an Oklahoma-Cincinnati basketball game. Cleaned this picture up a lot. Was a series of 5 pictures taken with my low mega pixel pocket camera. Turned out amazing, knowing that.
A faceoff in the first period of a Cyclones game. Oh and hockey is way way too fast for panoramics. So hard to get a good shot. Like here, I see 4 refs, but I swear hockey only has 3, but I could be wrong.
Fog is starting to clear off of the Queen City in the early morning. This is taken from Bellevue Hill Park in Cincinnati looking back at downtown in the early morning hours as the fog is starting to clear off.
The city coming to life at night. Some lights on some still left to show their glory, like the tiara of the Great American Insurance company came on a minute or so later. View from Mount Adams.
Taken from the river during a Wednesday Party in the Park, during sunset. Taken from my kayak. Kayaking during Party in the Parks is entertaining watching the boaters and listening to the music.
Took this from my kayak fairly quickly. Need to mess around with it to make it slightly better, but as always little harder to do a panorama while in a kayak on a moving river, without a tripod and such (which would do no good on the water anyways).
This is taken from near Old Mike Fin in Covington. Taken while on the water with the 2 kayakers taking in the sunset. I just love shots of the city from the water. It is a view you almost never get to see. Usually the camera is at least at eye level on a boat or tripod on shore. Always cool to see it from a fish's view.
Here & Gone Bridge
This was a tough picture. It may not be perfect but it is impossible to get one perfect while taking it from this view. It was taken from inside a kayak on the river to get the unique view of the bridge and city at night. Not a view you see everyday.
Sparta Speedway, NASCAR Style
This was taken on the weekend of the first Sprint Cup race to visit Sparta, Ky. Was also printed on the top of the life section in the Enquirer. They cut out the left section of the photo though. Man with a beer I guess.
A semi race they do every year starting at Coney Island and going across Cincinnati on Labor Day weekend. You can note all the boats there to watch as well as all the cars parked on Route 8 in Kentucky and on large version can see some people gathered around waiting to watch and take photographs as well. Taken from hill in Fort Thomas.
Fifth Third Taste
The people enjoying the taste of Cincinnati. As the event is held on the street I thought a vertical shot would be different and showcase the heat of the day and I liked the sun peaking out from the Fifth Third Bank building.
